Welcome to colonymonitoring.com!

Today, commercial and back yard beekeepers find their honey bee colonies stressed by pests, parasites and pesticides.
Manual inspections are necessary but disturb the bees. Current technology has the potential to provide the information
needed to manage bees productively without the need
for disruptive manual inspections, and new devices
are now becoming available commercially.

Here beekeepers will find links to web
resources that address the various
aspects of monitoring technology.
We expect this website will hasten
the day when the robust honey bee
colony monitoring capabilities
we envision are readily available.

Our vision is that in the near future,
all beekeepers will have ready access to
the technology needed to provide early warnings of
colony health issues, enabling them to optimize care of their bees.
